Centre of Excellence
India Cellular & Electronics Association (ICEA), in partnership with the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) and the Department of Electronics, Government of Uttar Pradesh, has played a vital role in establishing the Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Products Based on Li-ion Cells (Post Cell) in Noida. It is a state-of-the-art facility set up at the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), Noida
The electronics industry has wholeheartedly welcomed the CoE and products from the Mobile Enhancement sector like Power Banks, Bluetooth Speakers, Power Adapters, etc. are being designed and tested here.
This involvement has provided valuable experience in executing and implementing system-level development. The project entailed the development of 14 products across different electronic domains and categories, all of which have been successfully delivered by the team.

The team possesses multi-domain expertise, including a strong administrative background, a robust semiconductor supply chain and ecosystem, and comprehensive system-level engineering skills. These skills encompass system simulation, hardware implementation, and progressing to the fabrication stage.
This CoE exemplifies successful industry-academia collaboration, demonstrated by projects like:
- An indigenous neckband IP has been developed by the Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Products Based on Li-ion Cells (Post Cell) in Noida and boAt Labs, the research and development division of boAt – India’s leading audio and wearable brand.
- A prototype Bluetooth speaker enabled with HD Radio has been developed by the Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Products Based on Li-ion Cells (Post Cell) in Noida and Xperi Inc. – An American consumer and entertainment technology company.
